Less than a week in Germany and I can firmly say "I.heart.Deutschland". It is the wonderful people who picked us up at Bochum Hauptbahnhoff and helped us with the gruelling paperwork showering on us their hospitality, helpful people on the train, bundled up babies looking like a cosy furball looking at you with their curious beautiful blue eyes, smiles of the giants of the passerbys and how can i forget the weather! Oh, THE weather! So we brought the snow all the way from the little red dot, as we experienced together with the locals the first snow in the city.
the adventure started way before that, from the preparation and the packing which by the way was, is and still will always be 'a bitch'. from being overweight to missing our train, from falling luggages from trolleys on the escalator to loading and unloading (of which by the 3rd train we board we have deviced a system and plan which worked pretty well), the troubles did not deter the enjoyment of seeing my lonely planet guide book come alive, riding beside the rhine as the spetacular view was taken in, mental notes made of cities to visit as the ride took us through a brief introduction of each and every place.
even better it was, knowing how accesible the apartment is, where almost every need could be satisfied at Uni-centre. No more 40 mins walk to groceries! no complains have i, for my flatmate is one cool girl and we hit it off so well. the other i have yet to meet, and psychic powers conjures the image of a mystery german guy. my room's really spacious and cosy and smells of VS scents. irrrresssssitalbelest!
how's work, one will ask. What work? will i say. We're already like one big family planning on our next gatherings. Nice will not even adequately describe these people. Everyday's like a holiday. I cant tell you how much I like this place. =)
