The topic is XXX XXXXXX. You are expected to carry out literature research on this topic. You may read book(s), journal articles and/or search the internet for relevant information. You are free to choose on the scope of the study as long as it is related to XXX XXXXXX. You can cast a wide scope or be very focus on one sub-topic of XXX XXXXXX during your study. Be as open minded as possible and use you creative learning skill.
Note that this Self-Learning may constitute about 10% of total marks. The assessment may be in the form of Continual Assessment or as an Open-Ended Question in the examination. TAKE IT SERIOUSLY!
